Joining is easy.
Both boys and girls aged 13 to 18 years are welcome. If you are not quite 13
years old come along anyway.
First you should come down to the unit and participate a few times before you
make your decision. This can be done by either just coming to our usual parade
night, no appointment necessary. We parade from
7 PM to 9 PM every Tuesday during the school term. Maybe twice a month , we come down on a Saturday between 930 AM and 430
PM. This is when we go sailing, kayaking or some other activity for the day. If you do Saturday sports occasionally
don't worry we are flexible. The other way is to ring the unit on a
Tuesday night and ask for the Unit commander. She will tell you more about the
unit and a good time to come. If no one answers the phone please leave a
message and we will get back to you . If you want more information immediately
ring 04 233 8774 and ask for Joanna ( Branch Chairperson).
After you have been a few times and like it ,the unit
commander will arrange for you to enrol. There is a small donation needed each term of $35 which is tax
deductible.
