Welcome to T.S. Taupo Sea Cadet Unit website
Sea Cadets are part of the New Zealand Cadet Forces ( NZCF) which are a youth leadership-training organisation created from a partnership between the New Zealand Defence Force and the community. It is not part of the New Zealand Defence Force but is supported by and gets its military training flavour from the NZ Defence Force. It is open to boys and girls from ages 13-18 at Primary or College level with uniforms provided free of charge.
It provides training for
teenagers in leadership, self discipline,
teamwork and self reliance. Sailing,
boatwork and adventure feature high on the
list of exciting and worthwhile activities
you can do with the Sea Cadets.
TS Taupo cadets participate in the annual Central Regatta and every 3 years National Regatta. Other activities in Sea cadets include kayaking, learning weapons safety, camps and much more.
TS Taupo parades every
Tuesday night from 7 PM to 9 PM during
school terms and Saturdays 930 AM to 430 PM
twice a month.
We are located at Ngati
Toa Domain, Mana, behind the Sea Scout
building.
